Springvale crash: Seven people taken to hospital after two-car collision

Seven people have been taken to hospital, including six from the one car, after a crash in Melbourne’s south-east.

A white sedan and a black Toyota Yaris collided at the intersection of Springvale Road and Princes Highway at 4.50am this morning, leaving debris strewn across the road.

Police said there were six people in the white car, aged between 16 and 20.

All were taken to hospital with injuries, as was the driver of the Yaris, a Parkdale man in his 40s.

Emergency crews are at the scene, with the Princes Highway closed outbound and Springvale Road closed in both directions.

Drivers are advised to avoid the intersection and allow extra time.
