A search is under way in Western Australia’s Pilbara region for a woman who failed to return from a bushwalk.

Felicity Shadbolt regularly walks in the Mt Nameless area but failed to return to her home on Sunday.

The 36-year-old is about 150cm tall, of slim build and has blonde hair which is braided in two ponytails.

She is believed to be wearing blue pants and a black T-shirt and is carrying a light blue backpack.

Police from Tom Price and Karratha are involved in the search along with State Emergency Service volunteers.

A helicopter will also make a sweep of the area on Monday.
